Jagga Jasoos Review:
This movie is an undeniable experiment in which director Anurag Basu takes you on a musical adventurous journey. The story of the film is presented in a unique way where we see a classroom and a teacher Shruti, who is narrating stories from a book to her kids and then we enter into Jagga’s world.
The first half of the film is quite entertaining that unfolds Jagga’s back story. On entering Jagga’s world we get to see a stammering guy who the story of his heart by singing. The guy is on a mission to find the mystery of his missing dad and along the way, he accidentally gets to know about an illegal international arms racket and the second half of the film is all about the chase between Jagga and an evil intelligence officer (Saurabh Shukla).
Ranbir as Jagga has shown why he is always called one of the most talented actors of the industry the way he portrayed the character of Stammering yet confident Spy Jagga shows his maturity. Katrina has little to do still she has done a decent job. The movie has beautifully shown the father-son relation where Swasta Chatterjee as professor Bagchi is brilliant in his role. There’s a special cameo of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s in a very interesting avatar.
The VFX used here fails to match the class of the film and the second half of the film looks a bit stretched as well.
Apart from a few flaws, Jagga Jasoos is an entertaining and adventurous film and we would highly recommend you to watch this one of the finest films on Ranbir Kapoor.
