Finally, Xiaomi announced the much awaited Redmi Note 4 in India with some great twists, explaining some great features and giving a whole Technical Info about its Battery. So, let’s check out what is it all about.

But first take a look at the specs

Redmi Note 4 Specs

  • 5.5 inch Full HD Display
  • Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor
  • Adreno 510 GPU
  • 2/3/4 GB RAM
  • 32/64 GB storage, Expandable via MicroSD
  • 13MP Rear Camera, 5MP front shooter
  • Fingerprint Sensor
  • 4,100 mAh Battery
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow, MIUI8

As you can see from the specs the Redmi Note 4 looks like a huge upgrade from Redmi Note 3, but as they said about the battery life they have used the new 14nm finFET tech for their device and by that they were able to get 25% increase in Battery Life by just upgrading it from 4050mAH (Redmi Note 3) to 4100mAh (Redmi Note 4).

On paper, it looks like nothing, it’s just 50mAh upgrade, but on the software level, it may seem huge, let me explain… As they also running tests with new Andriod 7.0 on top of their power efficient MIUI8, and Android 7.0 also features Improved DOSE mode and other power efficient software improvements. So, we can expect that the Redmi Note 4 may deliver 25% more battery life than the previous Redmi Note 3.
