So, you rooted your phone, but still, its working slow, the reasons behind that may be that you have some preloaded apps installed which you don’t use, your system is taking most of the memory, your CPU is not Powerful. We will solve all these issues and more. Let’s start with Preinstalled Apps
How to make your Android Run Faster with Root
1) Uninstall the Pre Installed Apps
The moto is to free up the System Storage for that you have to uninstall and delete unused Apps and Data respectively. You cant delete the preinstalled Apps via normal uninstall. There are two ways you can do it.
- Do it manually
- Do it with the Help of a software
So how can you uninstall the system apps manually? Let me tell you this task is very dangerous, as you may delete some app that you don’t find useful but is required by the system. So check carefully before deleting.
Step 1: Open ES File Explorer, then go to the root storage of your device.
Step 2: Navigate to system>>app
Step 3: Here you’ll find all the apps on your device, you can delete the apps for here, By just holding the app and press delete.
Step 4: Restart your device to see changes

Open the App and click on the apps that you want to uninstall and then click Uninstall, it’s that simple.
2) Overclocking your Processor
By Default your Android Phone comes with a specific CPU frequency, you can modify it to make your phone faster, or slower (to conserve battery). you can install a custom kernel through which you can set up custom Governers of your device and tweak various system settings. Make sure you install the custom kernel of your device only. The Custom / Overclocked Kernels varies for every device, if you don’t check before installing, you may end up bricking your device.

3) Installing Custom ROMs
Now, this is the most common and risky method, but this method is the best as it transforms the whole system and allows you to theme and customise the entire system. You can check for custom Rom on XDA Developer forums.
There you can find the ROM you like the most and install it, but while installing all the apps and data will be erased. Make sure you take backup of the data before flashing.
4) Move Apps to SD Card
This method is now very old but it can still work for the users who have a phone with 1GB or 2GB RAM, as this method helps to clear up system storage, to make phone fast. To do this, you have to install apps like Apps to SD, Link to Sd etc all apps are available in Playstore for free.
