Moto Z and Moto Z Play launched in India.

Moto Z

Today Moto a company that is owned by Lenovo launched their high-end Flagships of the year in India, Moto Z and Moto Z Play. These handsets were unveiled at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 earlier this year. With these smartphones Moto started gaining its reputation back *Sort Of* because of their innovative Semi-Modular Design and their useful Moto mods, but after some time it just got settled down because of their high prices I guess. I think the same will happen in India also, they priced their phones high….not very high… but the Moto Mods are priced insanely high. We will talk about it later, let’s just look at the Specs of Moto Z and Moto Z Play

These specs are pretty good but to unleash the full potential of the handset you should use Moto Mods…which are not affordable. Moto brings the entire Moto Mods family to India which is a plus.

Moto Z and Moto Z Play: Moto Mods

Moto Z

  • JBL SoundBoost: This Moto Mod from JBL adds powerful speakers to your device allowing you to listen anywhere. The JBL SoundBoost sports an integrated kickstand and adds 10 hours of extra battery, and is available for ₹6,999 (₹5,999 bundle pricing at the launch).

  • Incipio offGRID Power Pack: The power bank mod adds an extra 2200mAh battery, and will be available for ₹5,999 (₹4,999). There’s also a wireless charging version, but they didn’t say anything about its availability.
  • Moto Style Shells: Priced at ₹1,099 onwards, the shells are premium designed back panels available in wood, leather, and ballistic nylon. One Style Shell will also be bundled in the box.
  • Hasselblad True Zoom: The photography mod offers 10x optical zoom and Xenon flash. It allows you to shoot in RAW format and share and backup your photos seamlessly in an instant. The Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod will be available for ₹19,999 (₹14,999).

So, these were the Moto Mods they are great but who will spend 20k for 10x Zoom. One Mod I really liked is Moto Insta-Share Projector but it’s also priced at 20k. I will not consider buying it…personally.
