Saif Ali Khan will feature in Netflix’s first Indian web-series


Saif Ali Khan who recently shared the teaser of his upcoming film ‘KaalaKaandi’ is all set for his Television Debut. The 46-years old actor has become the first Bollywood star to get a lead role in a Netflix series.


Netflix, the famous American entertainment company has announced its first India based original series ‘Scared Games‘ which is based on the novel of famous author Vikram Chandra under the same name. Netflix announced the inclusion of Saif in this series by quoting “Saif Ali Khan – lead actor for Sacred Games, a Netflix Original. Let that soak in.” on their official twitter handle.

As per initial reports, Saif will be seen in the role of a police officer, Sartaj Singh. This series is based in Mumbai and it will showcase the web of politics, corruption, and crime in the city.


Errick Bermack the vice president of Netflix said in a recent interview that “Saif Ali Khan is a true pioneer and risk-taker in Indian cinema, and we could not be more delighted to be working with him on Sacred Games. Further, he added that ” His role is layered and complex, and we are thrilled to be working with such a fantastic actor to bring this story to a global audience”.

Scared Games will be jointly produced by Netflix and Phantom ( the home production of Anurag Kashyap). The release date of this bilingual movie is yet to be decided.
