The most awaited film of this year Avengers Infinity War is out now and its breaking all the records. As we know that the Thanos MCU Origin is a lot different from the Comics. So this gives rise to many important questions like Which new character will be introduced? and How Avengers will beat the Mad Titan Thanos. But the biggest of them is the origin story of Thanos which we will talk about in this article.

Thanos MCU origin and backstory

Thanos MCU Origin

Who is Thanos? (Comics Origin)

Thanos was born in the colony of Eternals on one of the Saturn’s moon Titan. He was born disfigured and Monstrous and was ill-treated by his fellows because of his looks. And this gave the birth of evilness to him and he wanted to become supreme powerful in the universe. Growing in power and infamy he traveled the whole universe and once met Death itself. He developed some feeling for her and wanted to become worthy in order to get her love.

He himself destroyed his home ‘Titan’ and in order to impress Death, he began the quest for the most powerful thing in the universe which obviously is ‘Infinity Stones’. His aim was to destroy half of the universe to show his worthiness to his love ‘Death’.

But we have already told you that MCU’s storyline will be a bit different from the comic storyline. So, let’s see what updates do we have for that.

MCU’S New Storyline

According to the boss of Marvel Cinematic Universe Kevin Friege, Thanos will have a somewhat similar backstory but with some twists and turns. Here is what he said about Thanos’ MCU origin.

“He’s from a planet called Titan that’s no longer inhabited because of things that he thought he could help prevent, and he was not allowed to do that,” Feige told EW. “What he feared most happened, and the planet and everybody on it basically went extinct. He vowed not to let that happen again. He thinks he sees the universe going down the tubes. He thinks he sees life expanding outward unchecked. That will bring ruin, he believes, to the universe and to that life.”

There were also some rumors that the film will show Thanos’s younger days on his home planet Titan too. but they didn’t also the scene where he wrecks Xandar to get the Power Stone, maybe we will get a glimpse of that in the deleted scenes…To get that follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

So overall all these things make him more of a human character. As he wants to save the half of the universe by destroying the other half, to balance the universe and unfortunately he sees the earth in bad category I guess. Talking about this Kevin says

“That’s either genius or horrific, depending on your point of view, and most of our point of views say it’s pretty horrific.”

Thanos MCU Origin

Recently Josh Brolin who is playing the character of Thanos gave an insight into Thanos’s character in the film and why he looks so horrible. He told that

“He’s different from his family. They’re all Titans and they all look similar, but he was born deformed. You see how he grew up, you see he was like the Quasimodo of this time, or if you’ve ever read Perfume [Patrick Süskind ‘s 1985 novel about a serial killer who craves beautiful scenes but is disgusted by the smell of humanity], it’s a great parallel to Thanos. He stuck out. He was an anomaly. He was a freak. And that lent to this apparent insanity.”

So, this possibly ends the Death’s part in Thanos’s life. Though his obsession for that has been shown in movies as well as in this new storyline, the chance of her debut scene in the film is very less.
