The controversy queen of Bollywood Kangna Ranaut is once again in news but this time for a good cause. According to the reports, Kangana is all set to represent India at the global platform. She will be delivering a speech on ‘Gandhi Going Global’ summit which is all set to be held in the New Jersey, United States. The main aim of this event is to spread Gandhi’s ideologies in the world.
The event is set to be held on 18th and 19th August where the 31 years old actress will get to share the stage with some of the most renowned personalities in the world like Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and American advocate Martin Luther King III. More than 500 NGOs, 400 universities, and schools will be participating in this summit and it is expected to attended by more than 25,000 people.
This Gandhi Going Global campaign will host the interactive activities like motivational talks, educational speeches and cultural celebrations.
Talking about her preparation for this huge event Kangana said that ” For me, it’s always been about the impact you make on society and how you contribute to it. Sharing the stage with Michelle and Oprah will be inspiring. I’ve never been anybody’s fan but I admire and idolize women like Oprah”. Further, she added that “Once I get back to Mumbai, I will know exactly what I will be talking on and for how long, depending on which I will prepare my speech. Gandhi was a sensible, intelligent man which is not very common”.
Talking about her upcoming projects the actress has recently wrapped up the shooting of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and enjoying a birthday break (23rd March) in Manali. After that, she will start working on her next film Mental Hai Kya with Rajkumar Rao in lead role.
