Youtube is one of the fastest growing platforms of all time, and nowadays 1 of 10 people have a Youtube Channel, and this is hurting the content creators (According To Google). So, they decided to take action, that will actually help in clearing the mess, and make way for genuine creators. What was the action taken, check out below.

Youtube new restrictions in their YPP (Youtube Partner Plan) where a channel must have 1000 Subscribers and over 4000+ watch time over past 12 years. This decision of Youtube will cost them Thousands of channels, as most of the channels are there because of easy money, just by making senseless videos (most of it nowadays).

YoutubeYoutube posted this blog on their official blog, and people are commenting their links and running Subscribe for Subscribe campaigns, you can check that out here.

The data the Youtube shows is

“Though these changes will affect a significant number of channels, 99% of those affected were making less than $100 per year in the last year, with 90% earning less than $2.50 in the last month. Any of the channels who no longer meet this threshold will be paid what they’ve already earned based on our AdSense policies. After thoughtful consideration, we believe these are necessary compromises to protect our community.”

This proves that there are many accounts that are just using Adsense and are of no use, and by this policy now, the creators will start working on their content, or just leave the community.

So what do you guys think about this decision of Youtube? Do you have a Youtube account? will you continue making videos? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
